Rape Arrest

On May 28, 2024, Logan County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigator Chris Langston arrested Nicholas Schouweiler, 41, of Ratcliff, on four counts of Rape (all Class Y felonies). Nicholas is also a Level 4 sex offender which is the highest classification due to a rape conviction in the early 2000s. It is alleged that Nicholas engaged in sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with a juvenile under the age of 14 on four separate occasions. Nicholas is incarcerated in the Logan County Detention Center on a $200,000 cash only bond.
Our Criminal Investigation Division has interviewed several people during this investigation and several juveniles have been interviewed at one of the Children's Advocacy Centers of Arkansas which specialize in forensic interviews of children and in therapy and aftercare. This investigation is ongoing.
